You and your team are in the process of developing an app; you’ve created the wireframe, you’ve read up on .NET Core vs .NET Framework: Choosing a Runtime & How to Port, and now you’re removing features you don’t need. But what about marketing?
Come launch time, you want a high download rate; that means getting the word out about your app and getting your target audience excited about what’s soon to come.

How do you go about doing that? Especially when most of your budget is going towards the development and design of your app. Read on to find out!
1. Write a Guest Post on a Popular Tech Site
Guest posting is a great, cost-effective way to get your app on your target audience’s radar. But before you start emailing online publications, research which sites would best line up with your app, not to mention which publications your target audience reads.
The last thing you want is to spend hours writing a guest post that little to none of your target audience look at, much less knows it exists.
Write a Guest Post That Resonates with Your Target Audience
What does your target audience like to do on their weekends? What are some of your target audience’s pet peeves? This is where your research comes into play.
While you may not write a guest post about beagles or surfing, you could relate your app to these target audience favorites.
2. Be Active on Social Media
Social media is one of the best low-cost marketing tools to use to promote your app. Make sure you post consistently and personally respond to users’ questions and comments.
You can also use social media as a way to notify your target audience when your app will be launched. Why not post a daily countdown during the last few days before launch? You can choose to post on Twitter to promote any apps. But try to manage more followers into your account to get more views. For that you may also search for authentic sites to buy real Twitter followers to maximize your engagement.
3. Go the Old Fashion Route
Yes, we don’t recommend that you only market your app with flyers, hanging a few up here and there certainly doesn’t hurt. Pin some flyers up promoting your app on local coffee shops, libraries, and any other public bulletin board you can get your hands on.
Who knows? Maybe a couple downloads will be from people who just so happened saw one of your flyers?
4. Consider Doing a Facebook Live Event
Do a couple Facebook Live events to connect with your target audience. This is a chance to answer your target audience’s questions about the app (in real time no less), as well as learn more about them. Doing these online events will help put faces to your brand, which can help make your app and company more accessible.
5. Don’t Forget the Newsletter
Collecting emails is a not just a way to get beta testers—(and, no, you don’t need to collect resumes for beta testers)—but is a marketing avenue to provide your target audience more information about their interests and, of course, your app.
Give your target audience a couple minutes of newsworthy information every month or so by sending out a newsletter.
You can include updates about your app, but keep this to a minimum; content should be more focused on your target audience; shining the light on your company can lead to an inauthentic connection.
Final Thoughts: Make Sure You Market
Use whichever budget-friendly marketing tips you live. Also, considering running an email campaign, which is a low-cost inbound marketing tactic that yields a high return on investment. But know that whatever you do, always, always, always market your app.
